Our history
IIEC Youth and Teen Inc. was born from a simple belief: every young person deserves someone in their corner. Founded in 2016 by Andy Miller, the organization grew out of his commitment to youth development, mentorship, education, and community service. After years of working with young people and seeing the challenges many youth and families faced, Andy wanted to create something that went beyond simply providing a program, he wanted to build relationships.
That vision became the Youth Matters Program, an initiative focused on creating safe spaces where young people could receive guidance, academic support, mentorship, encouragement, and opportunities to experience life beyond their immediate environment.
What began as a vision to make a difference has continued to grow through partnerships with schools, families, mentors, community organizations, and dedicated supporters. Today, IIEC Youth and Teen Inc. continues to Teach, Empower, Affirm, and Mentor young people while creating opportunities for them to discover their voice, recognize their potential, and believe in what is possible.
