The Youth Matters Program
The Youth Matters Program is designed to empower youth and teens through mentorship, academic support, leadership development, and meaningful experiences. We create a supportive environment where young people can build positive relationships, develop confidence, and learn the skills they need to succeed in school, in their communities, and in life.
Through education, discussion groups, mentoring, community engagement, creative arts, dance, college exposure, and life-changing experiences, Youth Matters gives participants opportunities to discover their strengths, explore new possibilities, and see a future beyond their current circumstances.
Our approach is simple: Teach. Empower. Affirm. Mentor. We believe every young person deserves support, encouragement, and someone in their corner.
BIPOC Affinity Group
BIPOC Affinity Groups provide youth and teens with a safe, supportive space to connect, build community, and explore identity, culture, and shared experiences. Through open conversations, cultural education, mentorship, and meaningful activities, participants are encouraged to celebrate their backgrounds, learn from one another, and develop a stronger sense of confidence and belonging.
Our groups create opportunities for young people to find their voice, build relationships, celebrate culture, and feel seen and supported while developing the confidence to navigate their schools, communities, and the world around them.
Mentorship Matters Initiative
Mentorship Matters is an initiative dedicated to building meaningful, lasting relationships between caring mentors and youth and teens. Inspired by the Big Brother/Big Sister model, the program connects young people with positive role models who provide guidance, encouragement, accountability, and support.
Through one-on-one mentorship, group activities, community engagement, and shared experiences, mentors help young people navigate challenges, discover their strengths, set goals, and recognize their potential. We believe that sometimes having one person who believes in you can make all the difference.
